Grab and scissors lifting tongs have 3 typical categories:  Support tongs, Gripping tongs and pressure tongs. Supporting tongs are for single-size objects that have support clearance underneath, such as boxes, crates, bins and containers. Gripping tongs are used to lift round-shaped or cylinder-shaped objects such as steel coil, steel pipe, concrete, and wood… with unlimited length and the diameter of the load may vary by approximately 25%. Pressure tongs use the rubber pads, straps, pin, saw… in the clamp to keep the load’s vertical surface such as steel billet, flat or round loads.
