The Ladle Cranes

Ladle cranes are designed to be operated efficiently and safely in a hard-working environment of heat, dust and hot metal in metallurgy, steel mills.

Because the ladle cranes are used in a higher-risk environment, special safety features are designed for the ladle cranes that transport, pour and charge molten metal. The main hoist mechanism consists of the service brakes on the primary shafts and backup brake on the rope drum. The rope equalizer beams are provided with a dampening unit to keep the stability of the equalizer beam when the wire rope fails. In addition to the overload protection, the derailment support, overspeed supervision, and lifting limit switches are automatically standard features of the equipment.
